Intro

All things start somewhere.
Kovlen was born as an after-work activity, dedicated to our favorite subjects like horror movies, metal music, and the occult.

Being part of the Bulgarian underground music scene gave us the opportunity to be involved in a visual creative process that spanned almost two decades. From gig posters to cover art and merch, we’ve done it all.

After many different endeavors that couldn’t stand the test of time, we decided to create something just for ourselves. Petya was the first to push for the whole thing, insisting on going independent with just me (Galen) and her. So we did. It all began in the spring of 2019.

Our Instagram went live in September of the same year, just in time for a big project release: Outrage – Catharsis. We handled not only the artwork and merch but also the social media content. The show was a blast.
